This year has brought some unique challenges for VenturaVie's friend and volunteer Cheryl M. Watch as she tells her story on how she is making lemonade out of lemons.

VenturaVie and V. Boutique are collaborating with Cheryl M.to get her beautiful Banners of Hope: Fire Flags, out into the community.

Please consider a donation to this project to help Cheryl transition during this challenging time in her life and receive your own Banner of Hope: Fire Flag for a minimum donation. See some amazing examples of her inspiring, one-of-a-kind designs below.

We had our largest turnout ever — over 40 parents and kids at the farm. We were thrilled to see the growth of the seeds we planted together, now harvested into full fledged vegetables and flowers. YAY Dino Kale!

We all planted more flowers and Brandon led us on the latest farm tour. I was delighted to pick out beautiful plumage with the kids and teach them how to do plant rubbings with charcoal and crayons. A fabulous time was had by all. VenturaVie is so excited about this continuing, thriving educational and wellness program.

Eco-Fashion Design Contest

A collaborative project of VenturaVie and Salt Tree Art

SUBMISSIONS FOR DESIGNS ACCEPTED THROUGH JULY 2021

In a rapidly changing world, what is the future of fashion?

We offer a platform for these innovative concepts, showcasing creativity and hopefulness in addressing global challenges and amplifying the voices of up-and-coming designers who might otherwise not have access.

The contest will ask designers to imagine innovative fashion for the future, with a focus on the themes of beauty, resilience, and adaptation that speak to our shared ecological future. Interested artists will submit an original concept sketch (pre-existing pieces will not be eligible) for wearable works of fashion, accompanied by a short description of how their designs address the contest themes. Submissions will require a $21 entrance fee.

More information about the contest, as well as the submission form, will be available at: WearWeAreGoing.org

We want to showcase artists and designers at all stages of their careers, from students and amateurs to long-time professionals. Ten submissions will be chosen as finalists to build their design, competing for a $3,000 cash prize to be announced during a live fashion showcase event! Again, check out WearWeAreGoing.org for additional details, and to apply with your concept.

We are thrilled to partner with Kristen Griffith-VanderYacht as our program host. Kristen has been named one of the world's top florists by Harper's Bazaar, and he previously served as the head judge for the Big Flower Fight on Netflix.

We need you to spread the word about this contest! SHARE THIS Announcement, the event webpage, and our social media posts! Forward the contest to any aspiring eco-fashion designers you know!
